Madden 25

Yes folks, someone thought it was a good idea for the 25th anniversary to be called 25, not 14.

And unfortunately, it feels like that amount of thought has gone into the rest of the game.

Don't get me wrong, it's still Madden.  Not only is it the only NFL game in town, but the reason it does well is it still is the closest us regular folks get to being a part of the unofficial national past time.  Its always an above average recreation of a sport I love.

But unfortunately it being a year to year game and it will sell no matter what, there's not always much of an upgrade from each installment.

Despite most people hating it, I really liked last year's.  The new physics engine was bumpy, but I saw what they were trying to do.  Sure you could run slants every single play but it was still fun and thats the part that matters.

So what about this year?

They cleaned it up, added an ability to run, and upped the difficulty on offense.  I should be happy about this.

But something is completely imbalanced

Even on the default difficulty setting, the computer offense is unstoppable.  The QB throws perfect bombs while being demolished by large men.  The only way to stop the computer is to hope they attempt to run too much.

Seriously, other than that, the game is almost the same so if you played last year's you know what's coming.

One theory is this year they didn't put full effort into it as XBone and PS4 versions are coming, but given this version, I don't have much faith for those versions.  We'll have to wait and see.

This was short I know, but really there wasn't much to say.  If you like to struggle to beat the computer because they make every pass they throw, then enjoy.  But if you want a current football game, you don't have much choice.  Good luck.
